Impact of changing habits.

Hey. This is Darpan. In today's blog we'll be talking on how change in habits can make a great impact on our lives by a simple example in just few minutes.           The impact created by a change in your habits is similar to the effect of shifting the route of an airplane by just a few degrees. Imagine you are flying from Los Angeles to New York City. If a pilot leaving from LAX adjusts the heading just 3.5 degrees south, you will land in Washington, D.C., instead of New York. Such a small change is barely noticeable at takeoff-the nose of the airplane moves just a few feet-but when magnified across the entire United States, you end up hundreds of miles apart.           Similarly, a slight change in your daily habits can guide your life to a very different destination. Making a choice that is 1 percent better or percent worse seems insignificant in the moment, but over the span. picture credits: pinterest ...

Picture your way to success!

What is mean by picturing your way to success?  You surely having this question after reading the title. We'll be talking on this topic in todays blog,  so get a comfortable seat and be relaxed.         In a television interview, singer Celine Dion was asked if she ever dreamed at the start of her career that someday she’d sell millions of records and be on tour, singing in front of tens of thousands of people each week. The singer replied that none of this surprised her, as she had pictured the whole thing since she was five years old!        She was not bragging, and has worked unbelievably hard to earn every bit of her success. What she learned at an early age was her ability to tap into the power of holding a vivid, powerful image... to picture the star she wanted to become.  Celine Dion in a interview with Ellen Pc: pinterest            World-class athletes also incorporate the pow...

How will you clean your window? (part 2)

Hey. This is Darpan again. As I promised I'm going to elaborate how to clean your window. The window of your mind through which you see the world. It got too fithy that you no longer see anything clear through it.       So let's get going. We will see Sara and Sam's example to get it clearly.       It was just after 1:00 pm and Sara was getting hungry. She had put in a few productive hours of work at her desk and decided to get a bite to eat at a nearby coffee shop.        A few minutes later, Sam walked into the coffee shop. He, too, was on his lunch break. Sam sat down at a table a few feet away from Sara.       The same waitress served Sara and Sam that afternoon. Each customer waited about the same amount of time before the waitress took the order. Each of them received their meal around the same time. Each of them was served well-prepared, wholesome food. And each waited the same amount of ti...

Clean your window! (part 1)

You must be wondering why I'm telling you to clean your window? That's because you'll able to see world clearly only after you clean grime on your window. Here I'm talking about window of your mind and attitude is your window to the world.        Let’s take a few moments to dis-cuss why I said that your attitude is your window to the world. We all start out in life with a good attitude — or, should I say, a clean mental window. Just watch young children. They’re always laughing and giggling. They have a sunny disposition. They love to explore new things.       Consider the attitude of a child who’s learning to walk. When he stumbles and falls down, what. does he do? I’ll tell you what he doesn’t do. He doesn’t frown or blame the carpet. He doesn’t point fingers at his mother or father for giving him lousy instructions. He doesn’t quit. Oh, no. He smiles, gets up again and makes another attempt. And another. He keeps going fo...
